The reviews are in for The Return of the Lonesome Coyote Patchwork Pulpit, and Sundry Other Tales from the Rainbow's End, Rollaway's latest (very) full-length record.  The latest from John Lucas of The Georgia Straight can be found here:

And from others....

Vancouver's own Discorder states:

"....seriously pretty guitar work and well-written songs....the musicianship and lyrical quality is just too good to deny."

CD Release aftermath - November 28, 2010

Thanks for a great CD release!  The Railway was aglow with good times and harmony last Thursday night.  We couldn't be more thankful for Jimmy Baldwin and Kent McAlister and their bands, as well as all y'all who came out to sing along.  Look for the record in local stores (Zulu, Redcat) and at CD Baby, as well as iTunes, but we'd recommend a hard copy, since, to put it plainly, it's just so pretty.

Rollaway heading south on tour once again - August 17, 2010

After a month of howlin' crazy shows here in Vancouver, we are hitting the road once again to visit our neighbours to the south (and for some of us here at Rollaway, la Patria itself).

There will be only one weekend of shows, so be sure not to miss them, should you find yourself in the vicinities.

Details!

*ToST Lounge in Seattle, WA (513 North 36th St.) - Friday August 27th with Will Layng and Sideways Reign. 9:00 $5

*Mississippi Pizza in Portland  (3552 N. Mississippi Ave.)- Saturday August 28th with Will Layng. 9:00 $5

We miss you folks down there, so please do come on down.  We promise to give you something to sing about.

Hope to see y'all there!

Yours truly,

Rollaway

New tracks/remasters from the upcoming album! - June 8, 2010

Rollaway is taking a month or two off to recharge and remaster.  The record is getting there!  In the meantime, have a listen to a remastered version of Old Crow Man plus a new single, Underneath Grey Havens.  Hopefully these will tide you over until we hit the scene again on July 28th for our first gig at the Railway Club!  We're very excited about this one, so mark your calendars and bide your time.  Thanks for dropping by.

Yours,

The Rollaway Team

Rollaway puts rubber to the road... - February 7, 2010

The gang packed up the ol' jalopy over the weekend and put the rubber to the road. A long midnight ride found them at Mississippi Pizza in Portland OR where, with a little help from local superstar Will Layng, they kept the party rollin' until the lights went up. Check out the video below:

The Olympics provide you with lots of Rollaway. Come on down!

Friday, Feb 19th Heritage Grill in New Westminster, 8pm.

Saturday, Feb 20th Falconetti's on Commerical Drive 9:30pm.

Warming up a rainy Jericho Arts Centre - November 20, 2009

On Wednesday, the rain and wind pounded the walls of the Jericho Arts Centre as Rollaway wowed the crowd with a bit of Southern soul, dishing out a reflective set of foot-tapping favorites.

But don't take my word for it, check out the video below:

Rollaway may have flashed its tender underbelly at this moving gig, but expect the return of the power chords this Friday night at Falconetti's (1812 Commercial Drive). The show starts at 9:30pm. No cover. Just bring yourself and your wing-tipped dancing shoes. Rollaway steps it into high gear and brings the house down until the wee hours. See you there.

All for you,

Rollaway

Rollaway Lands in New West - November 7, 2009

Rollaway touched down in New Westminster on Friday and though it was pouring rain outside, they kept it warm and rocking until the wee hours of the night. We've pulled together a couple of fan videos/pics into a short clip of the night, hope you enjoy!
